ABOUT A.G. ZINK & SONS TAILORS - SYDNEY
The firm was started by Gastav A. Zink at 112 Oxford Street in 1895 until the widening of Oxford Street in 1911 where upon he took up a 66 year lease on a block of land and built our current premises at 56 Oxford St.
The business has been handed down over two generations of the Zink family and three generations of the Jones family, who have vied their trade since the early 50’s with Thomas Zink the grandson of Gustav Zink, and front shop tailors cutter William Jones.
William’s son Robert who is the current owner of Zink’s trained as a tailors cutter in the upstairs workroom through the 60’s and early 70’s before entering the ground floor tailoring department as a front shop cutter, now Daniel Jones, grandson of William is now in his forth year of training in the first floor workroom.
