Disappointed, angry - poor grooming and unprofessional attitude
Sent my beloved doggie friend for a professional groom just prior to his stayover with his minders who were planning big doggie plans during his visit. A spoodle he went in a fluffy ball of fur that simply needed trimming however, what I got back was akin an oversized ratlike mongrel - yes his beautiful spaniel tail looked akin a rat's tail. He simply looked awful was very demoralised and I was livid.
He did have some matting but that did not justify the groomer to go ahead with a shave without first calling me. I could hv done a much better job myself for FREE as I own an Andis AGC2. SDB gave him an unprofessional shave which costed me $80. It was AWFUL.
When the business owner in NthSyd was contacted, there was no apology rather dogged defence of his groomer. I've written them off

bad experience, bad manager
I completely agree with the other negative review of this business. I found the manager/owner of Secret Dog's Business to be rude, aggressive and hostile. The other positive review is obviously a fake because that woman does not smile. I also had an altercation with her and she actually lied to my face. I have also been telling everyone I know not to go to this place because it is so expensive ($100+ for a groom), crowded with dogs, and to be completely honest I cannot believe that someone so appallingly unprofessional can run a business and treat their customers this way. By the way, I had also previously been in the shop when another customer yelled at her and at the time I wondered why. Now I know. Dog owners - vote with your feet because this business does not deserve your money.

Perfect place
I cannot understand this review. My dogs love there and we are always received with a great smile from all the staff.
We love there!

Not for my best friend
I wanted to ask for prices as I wanted to get my new dog clipped. I had never rang a dog grooming salon before, or been into one, so I didn't know what to ask for or how the prices work. I was assuming they have "packages" such as wash and clip for $50, etc. I tried googling the company to find a website but they don't have one, so I had to ring to find the prices.
I rang this business and my first sentence was "I was after some prices, I wanted to know if you just do a wash and groom...." I hadn't even finished my sentence before I was interrupted with, "Well what do you mean do I ONLY do a wash and groom? I have absolutely no idea what you want..." I was so shocked I just said "Forget it, I won't be coming anyway" and was about to hang up, but the woman on the other end said "GOOD" and had hung up on me before I even had the chance.
Incensed, I drove to the shop, to have it out with her, and to demand an apology. When I arrived I wasn't welcomed with a 'hello' but just a 'yes?'. She wouldnt even come out from behind the back door, let alone to the desk to greet a customer. I told her I'd like to speak to the manager, at which stage I was once again interrupted with "I AM THE MANAGER," accompanied with a smirk. I explained I'd just rang and was spoken to so badly I'd come by to speak to someone. She launched into a tyrade about how "...customers ring and waste my time all day. I am so busy, and people give me a half an hour speil about what they want. I just want to know the breed of the dog so I can give you a price!" I pointed out that I'd been on the phone less than a second before I had hung up in disgust, to which she had no reply, except "Well I can only apologise for that, BUT - you were agressive on the phone too!" I don't beleive I was at all; I was simply a brand new customer, naive to way the business works and wanted to know some information. I pointed out that as the owner, and a dog groomer, it might be OK for her to assume that people should know what to say when the phone is picked up, but for a customer it was appalling to be treated so shortly. She then made the excuse that there was "another customer standing in here waiting to be served," while I was on the phone to her, so I promptly retorted that I didnt think it was a good example for that customer to see the owner of the shop speak so rudely to another one. Her tone was unapologetic, condescending, and all the while she was argueing and raising her voice at me, she was looking back at her colleagues and laughing at me.
I was actually lost for words for most of the 5 minutes I had the displeasure of spending in the store (which is rare for me) because I just could not beleive the attitude - I simply ended up asking, "What kind of business is this where you speak to customers so badly?!" I then promised the manager that I would tell everybody I knew (and I know a lot of people in this area, as I work in a local shop and have lived in the area for my entire life of 25 years) that they should avoid stepping foot into her shop at all costs. Now here's the clincher - her response? "Good. You do that. I don't give two hoots. Now get out of my shop."
I replied "You have a lot to learn about customer service," and I left.
I was so angry, all I had sought was an apology, but I was greeted with an aggressive, argumentative and completely unprofessional 'manager" who in my opinion, isn't fit to run a company.
I'm so glad she works with dogs, and not people, because I am still gobsmacked, 5 hours after the ordeal.
