Setsuko Yanagisawa of Yuga Floral Design
Setsuko was born in Japan. She has studied floral designs in Japan, Europe and Australia.
Setsuko settled in Sydney where has established her floral design company, Yuga Floral Design at 172 St. Johns Road, Glebe.
Setsuko’s aesthetic senses and palette have been profoundly influenced by the rich textures and colours of Australian topography and nature.
She and her staff are dedicated to the values of harmony and perfection associated with nature. Setsuko’s work expresses a contemporary marriage between the exquisitely refined traditions of Japanese floral
Setsuko's Floral Design School
Setsuko has established her own floral design school with a focus on teaching floral arts with a personal touch and developing techniques in a small class (up to 10 people in a class).
The Yuga Floral Design School offers a variety of courses from beginner level to more experienced students and professionals.
You can have the opportunity to develop techniques and create designs with your personal touch. Students can learn both European and Modern Japanese designs, ‘simplicity’ influenced by traditional Ikebana arrangements.

This is by far one of my favourite cafes in Sydney.
What a unique, interesting and beautiful concept, combining a florist, cafe, an art gallery and a floral design school all in one. Sitting among the flowers, the food is simply superb, the coffee excellent and the staff attentive. This is by far one of my favourite cafes in Sydney.
